Rabbit Hole Hay's Ultra Premium Coarse Timothy Hay comprises stems, long seed heads, and leaves. This premium hay grade comes from the first harvest of Timothy Hay or a particularly coarse second harvest.
The Growing Process
Timothy Hay starts growing in spring after a winter rest. It's ready for the first cut by late spring or early summer, typically by mid-June. This first harvest produces hay with long, thick stems, broad leaves, and long seed heads, known as First Cut Timothy Hay. Occasionally, a cooler summer allows the second growth to produce similarly coarse hay.

Rabbit Hole Hay has renamed Coarse Timothy Hay's product to focus on quality rather than harvest timing. Most purchases will be First Cut Timothy Hay, which is known for its long, thick stems, broad leaves, and long seed heads. Occasionally, a very coarse Second Cut Timothy Hay may be supplied, as detailed in their hay report.

How should I feed my bunnies these treats?
These treats are designed as an occasional enrichment snack and should not replace your bunny's primary diet. Always provide fresh unlimited hay and water. Introduce new treats and food gradually and supervise treat time. Remove uneaten treats after extended playtime.
When will I recieve my order?
All treats are made to order and are carefully packaged for freshness and quality. Most orders ship within 3-5 business days. Shipping time begins once you recieve a notification that your order has shipped and varies by location. Shipping outside of the United States should be expected to take longer due to distance and duty inspections.
Please note: Decorative props such as wooden boards and plates are not included in packaging.
